It’s Out!
After an unexpected two year hiatus, The Firebird Chronicles welcomes its sixth installment. Echoes of Insurrection is out on all retailers. The print edition is uploaded and should start going live in the next 72 hours. I really hope you enjoy Kira’s latest adventure. I had so much fun spending time in her world and I can’t wait for what comes next. (Yes, there is another book after this)
It’s no exaggeration to say that at one point I considered this book cursed. With the amount of road blocks and obstacles I ran into bringing this book to completion, it’s kind of a wonder I managed to get it done at all. Hopefully, my struggles don’t show in the writing.
The audiobook is under production. There’s no release date at this point. When that changes, I will let you know.
What’s next?
First, I’m planning to do a Facebook live on Sunday, Jan. 18 at 3 P.M. EST. We’ll be celebrating EOI’s release and I’ll be answering questions.
Second–Gus’s story starts next week. Stay tuned to the blog. I’m not sure how often I’ll release a segment. Right now, I have eleven chapters written so I have a healthy stockpile.
Last–Originally, I was going to switch to a brand new series once Gus’s story was finished. I’m now questioning that path as Gus took way longer than I anticipated to write. I don’t know if I’ll return to Kira for her next adventure or continue with my original plan. I’m leaving it up to fate and my muse. We’ll see which wins out.
I think that’s pretty much it for housekeeping items. Happy reading!

Congrats on the release! I can’t wait to dig into Kira’s latest adventure. Wherever your muse takes you, we are all riding shotgun in anticipation!
-
Well done and thank you🎉so looking forward to the weekend when I can start my readathon. Xx
-
Congratulations! I love the epilogue.
-
I’ve made no plans for the weekend so I can read the entire series without interruption. I always reread the previous books when there’s a new release.
I’d love a new series from you but I also need more Aileen!!!! I love her so much, -
I devoured it in one day! I can never get enough Kira and Jin. I’m looking forward to Gus’s story. I’d like to clamor for more Firebird Chronicles but I know I’ll love anything you write.
-
I can’t wait to find out what happens to Kira and Jin!!
Do you think you will ever revisit the Dragon Ridden world? -
Yayyy!!! So excited to read this once the weekend hits. I think I’ve re-read Kira’s entire series at least 5 times in the past two years 😅. Can’t wait to see what she’s up to in this latest saga, and hope you’re able to take a bit of a break!
-
Congratulations on another book release. Have fun celebrating with your family.
-
More Kira, Jin, and Graydon!!!!I can’t wait to read Gus’ story also. I have read the first 5 more times than I care to count. And finished EOI already. Now to read it too many times to count! My ADHD is totally focused on this series.
-
Please more Kira and Graydon. You can’t leave us hanging.
-
Just finished reading book 6 and loved it!! Can’t wait to read Gus’s story 😆
-
Kira please, but I’ll read the other as soon as it’s released to 😆
-
Already read the whole book! I really love it! Thank you so much for this -again- wonderful story!😍
The Firebird Chronicles are my favorite of yours (which is saying something as I loved all of them), so I would never say no to the next book coming out soon. And I’m looking forward to hear more of Gus. She is such an interesting character. But a new series? Sign me up! 😄
And sorry for any mistakes, English is my second language and the auto correction function is trying to turn everything into German sentences . -
Praying there will be another Firebird book next. Too many things left open. Loved this book and sincerely appreciate all of the work that went into it. I cannot believe you write with twins. So much going on with babies…not much extra time. Thank you for this book that you think was cursed. Lol! So looking forward to whatever you write next. Gus will be great! Interesting how there are so many threads you could pull for different books from the Firebird world. So many interesting characters. Harlow needs a happy ending as does Finn and there are so many more. I do a reread before each new book in the series. It really helps. Again, thank you. ❤️

Just finished reading EOI, and I loved it! Excited to read about Gus, but I know you must have something amazing planned for Jin and Kira, as Jin starts to come into his own. I can’t wait to read about Jin’s fight training and learning to use and master his ki.

Quote out of context:
“I will find her though. We have unfinished business, she and I.”
Yes, please.
-
I second that 🤚

Loved this book! Can’t wait to read Gus’s story.
-
Just finished! It was soooo nice to be reunited with one of my favorite cast of characters ever :’) I’ll miss them in between, but definitely can’t wait for Gus’s story! 👀
-
I really hope you return to Kira/Jim’s story. The latest release was marvelous, but I have so many questions the story seems unfinished. I look forward to Gus’s story!
-
I really hope your muse wants you to continue with the Phoenix. As a reader who has been a Kira fan for years now, I couldn’t agree more with Tierni: “Patience should be rewarded.” <3

Well, I’m hoping fate and your muse lead you to Kira, because I finished the new book last night and am already in withdrawal. Kira and Jin are my favorite characters in all of science fiction, and I don’t want the series to end, but I also can’t wait until the next book.
-
more Kira please
-
Stayed up until 1 am to finish the book yesterday! Had a blast and can’t wait to read more about Gus! Loved her POV from your blog snippets. Also that was an unexpected hint of a pairing!! Was honestly expecting her x Ryan after the snippet and surprised by the potential mentioned in book 6.

more of Kira please:)

I thought I would share some information on posting chapters each week for an upcoming novella. I’m familiar with this through authors Ilona Andrew’s, who have done this with many novellas, most recently (last year), The Inheritance.
They generally post a chapter, or sometimes two, a week, based on the upcoming publishing date. They don’t post the last chapter, or two, so we are all primed for buying it as soon as it comes out. It’s a very popular and beloved practice for all of us readers. Ilona and Gordon lovingly refer to all of us as The Book Devouring Horde, shortened to the BDH.
I think the downside for them is that the comments fill up with questions and comments about the chapters, which takes time to answer. Time they could be writing. So, a little bit of a downside anyway.
You had mentioned that you were going to research how to post the chapters of Gus’s story, which your own Book Devouring Horde is going to start pestering you about now that Echoes of Insurrection is out (which I loved), so I am sending this email, which I hope helps. Thank you for the many hours of enjoyment and pleasure I have found through your fabulous books.
Peace and blessings to you and your family. Shakra

What is the link for Facebook live?
Will event be recorded or posted on your website blog for non-facebook users? -
Would love for you to return to Kira before a new series! While I love all you write I prefer not having to wait for 2, would rather finish one first.
-
The book was amazing. I finished the book late Wednesday. Not sure how but let’s not get technical. I’m excited to do a reread, in case I’m missed anything. Also, sooo excited for Gus’s story. Refreshing to blog every day this week. 😊

Firebird is my favorite series of all time. Loved the new book, but the series doesn’t feel finished to me so I do hope there is at least one more book for Kira, Jin and Graydon.
-
Finished the book in one night. More Kira please! She is a unique heroine; there is no one like her. Please do come back to the series for one more installment, there is much left unfinished
-
More Alexander pleeeeeease
-
Absolutely loved EOI. I vote for more Kira, but I will be happy with whatever you write.
-
I can’t wait for the audiobook. One of my favorite series!
-
Sooooo good thank you! Voting for a spin off about the 43 or anything in this world!
-
I’ve had a lot of deadlines this month and the storm affected me to so my re read of the series is still ongoing. Can’t wait to read the new book and then read about Gus. Take care!
-
I’ve reread Kira and Jin’s story so many times. I’m so happy that you’ve continued their story.
